When you hear the word tagline, what’s the first thing that pops in your head?
It’s probably “Just do it,” by Nike. With those three words, Nike inspires possibilities to explore when you just go out and do it. The question now is how can we come up with something like that?
A Tagline Sums Up What You Do
When you’re running a business, one of the things you need is a tagline or a positioning statement. For example, our company is Business Blueprint but our tagline is simplifying your success. Those three words pretty much sum up what we do. Our mission is to make people’s lives easier and show them faster and simpler ways that they can get better results.
Another example of a tagline would be “The happiest place on Earth,” which of course we know is Disneyland. Companies go to great lengths to try and stand out from everybody else and you need to do the same.
If your creative juices aren’t working, there’s this fantastic free tool that you can use, which is 100% free. You can use it to generate lots of different tagline ideas in less than a minute. You can use them for business taglines or as email subject lines. Or you can also use them for blog post ideas, stories or even as social media captions.
Over a Thousand Taglines Generated
The title of this video says “How to Make 100+ Taglines in Less Than a Minute”. The truth is with the power of this software you can come up with over 1,000 in under one second. But if I told you that at the beginning, you wouldn’t have believed me. This is how it works.
This service called slogan generator and it’s made by a company called Getsocio. All you need to do is go to Google and type in Getsocio and slogan generator. You can also type “getsocio slogan generator”. So once you’re there, you put in a keyword, either a product or service that you’re actually offering. Or it could be other words associated with that. It could also be a feeling or emotion you’d like to attach to your business. Pop that in the box and click search.
Choosing Taglines
Let’s say for example you had a business in coffee. When you type in the word coffee, make sure you get the spelling right then click search. You’ll see one thousand and seventy-six different taglines generated in under a second.
Now I’ll let you know in advance that some of these are going to be a bit weird and a bit wacky. Some probably won’t fit with the image you have for your business. But, with over a thousand to choose from, you can find ten that work really well. Create a shortlist and send it out to friends for feedback. This will help you find one that really works for your business.
