David Cunningham was born in Cork, Ireland, in 1976. From the age of nine he worked with his godfather on one of the biggest cattle farms in rural Ireland. The strong work ethic and independence he gained through growing up in the family business remains a wealth of experience that he still draws on to this very day.

After completing his studies, David powered his way directly into the dynamic and intense world of investment banking with JPMorgan. Within two years, he was promoted to bank associate. David had an extremely successful four-year career with the company in the areas of asset management, operational risk and private banking in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Following this extensive training and experience, he co-founded Shanghai Vision Ltd in 2003.

Shanghai Vision sells residential real estate investments in Shanghai, China, to non-Chinese overseas investors. In 2005, he established Shanghai Vision Asset Management Ltd, which rents, manages and reports on the investment properties held by Shanghai Vision investors. Shanghai Vision had the honour of winning the Bentley International Award in 2005/6 for The Best Real Estate Agent in China.

David lives with his wife, Anne, in Coogee, Sydney. He is currently growing new business ventures in the arenas of online travel and environmental awareness.
