Disruptive technology is a perfect example of the phrase – “The only constant in life is change”. Through novel, innovative applications of technology, some very clever people change the way you catch a taxi for example through the app Uber, or book your accommodation through Airbnb. Disruptive technology completely changes the way society goes about doing something and the beauty about it is that it will continue to change.

Remember the good old-fashioned bookstore? Where you could physically go and touch and feel the books you wanted before buying it? Some clever people thought, “Why not make the experience digital and move books out of the store into the virtual world?” What did this to the traditional bookstore? Either forced them to close or adopt to the disruptive way in which customers were now expecting to buy books and offer online book shopping as well.
