Margaret LomasMargaret Lomas was born in Sydney in 1960, one of five children. At the age of 18 she was selected as a Rotary Exchange Student and spent twelve months living in Indonesia.

After many years working in a variety of industries such as banking, training and community services, Margaret, together with her husband Reuben, began to explore opportunities to assist people with their financial circumstances. They began Destiny® Financial Solutions to help people work toward financial independence.

Margaret’s unique ability to explain complex concepts in an easily digestible format led to the release of her first book, How to Make Your Money Last as Long as You Do, in 2001. This book was quickly embraced by the property-investing public which helped Destiny® Financial Solutions to expand Australia-wide. Margaret has since written five more best-selling books: How to Create an Income for Life, How to Invest in Managed Funds, How to Maximise Your Property Portfolio, Pocket Guide to Investing in Positive Cashflow Property and The Truth about Positive Cash Flow Property.

Today, Margaret is an in-demand public speaker and financial adviser. She has been a co-host and regular commentator on a number of real estate and property radio shows around Australia, and is a regular contributor to investing magazines, including Australian Property Investor to which she has contributed many cover articles.

In 2003, Margaret was appointed to the Board of Business Central Coast, and in 2004, to the Small Business Development Corporation of NSW – an advisory body whose role it is to advise the government on emerging trends in the small business sector. Margaret was also a state finalist in the 2004 Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

Margaret lives on the New South Wales Central Coast with her husband Reuben and their five children.
