Adam Rockett and Chris Ryan were both born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland. After meeting at high school, the pair quickly became best friends. When they finished school they went their separate ways and travelled the world before returning and reuniting in Brisbane to study at university. Wanting more from their time studying, the two started a wine distribution business.

When a chance opportunity to supply telecommunications equipment presented itself, Adam and Chris embraced the challenge. The success of their endeavours prompted them to give up the wine distribution business and start Strike Group Australia, a telecommunications wholesale company that now exports to 78 countries.

Both in their mid-twenties, Adam and Chris credit most of Strike’s success to their high-achieving team of sales and management professionals. Their innovative and carefully crafted human resource system has allowed them to recruit, train and assess their team, ensuring they employ the right person for the right job. Since starting their business, Adam and Chris have diversified into property investment, venture capital enterprises, and consumer electronics, while continuing the business’s key wholesale division of domestic mobile enhancements.

Adam and Chris have been finalists in the Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, as well as keynote speakers at the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation, Australian Human Resource Institute and Wealth Creator’s Advanced Entrepreneurs Course.

In their spare time they both like to relax with friends and family. They enjoy surfing, paragliding, triathlons and football.
